Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 3, 2026
1. Introduction
Phase Labs ("we," "our," or "us") built Orbital as an Android application available on the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Orbital app.
Orbital does not require you to create an account, sign up, or log in. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the limited data we handle.
2. Information We Collect
Orbital does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. However, we use the following third-party services that may collect limited technical data:
Firebase Crashlytics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app stability and diagnose crashes. Crashlytics automatically collects crash reports, device information (model, operating system version), and the app state at the time of a crash. No personal data is intentionally collected through this service.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions for Orbital Premium. RevenueCat collects purchase tokens, subscription status, and anonymous user identifiers. No email addresses or personal information are collected by the app — all payment processing is handled securely by Google Play.
What we do NOT collect:
- Email addresses or personal identity information
- Location data (launch site maps are for display purposes only)
- Contacts, photos, or files
- Advertising IDs (there are no ads in the app)
3. How We Use Information
The limited data collected through third-party services is used solely to:
- Identify and fix crashes to improve app stability and performance
- Manage and validate in-app subscription status for Orbital Premium
- Fetch rocket launch data from the Launch Library 2 API (no user data is sent to this API)
We do not sell, share, or use any collected data for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
Orbital relies on the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Play Services — Google Privacy Policy
- Firebase Crashlytics — Firebase Privacy Policy
- RevenueCat — RevenueCat Privacy Policy
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services to understand how they handle your data.
5. Data Retention
Crash reports collected by Firebase Crashlytics are retained for 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
Subscription data managed by RevenueCat is retained for as long as needed to manage your subscription status. Anonymous identifiers may be retained by RevenueCat according to their own data retention policies.
Since the app does not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to delete upon request. If you have concerns, please contact us using the details below.
6. Children's Privacy
Orbital is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
