1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Orbital app ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Orbital is developed and maintained by Phase Labs ("we," "our," or "us") and is available on the Google Play Store. The App does not require you to create an account, sign up, or log in.

2. Description of Service

Orbital is a rocket launch tracker for Android. The App provides information on upcoming and past rocket launches, including launch schedules, rocket specifications, mission details, and launch site maps. Launch data is sourced from the Launch Library 2 API.

Orbital also offers an optional premium subscription ("Orbital Premium") that unlocks additional features within the App.

3. User Conduct

When using Orbital, you agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers, networks, or infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its related systems
  • Use automated systems, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the App
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any of its content

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Orbital offers an optional premium subscription ("Orbital Premium") that provides access to additional features. Subscriptions are billed through Google Play and managed via RevenueCat.

  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play's subscription management settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: Refund requests are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policies. Phase Labs does not process refunds directly.
  • Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated in advance, and you will have the option to cancel before the new price takes effect.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented at the time of purchase through Google Play.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, logos, and trademarks within the Orbital app are the property of Phase Labs and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any of our intellectual property without prior written consent.

Launch data displayed within the App is sourced from the Launch Library 2 API, which is operated by The Space Devs. All rights to the launch data remain with its respective owners.

6. Third-Party Services

Orbital relies on several third-party services to deliver its functionality. These services include, but are not limited to:

  • Launch Library 2 API — Provides rocket launch data displayed in the App
  • Firebase — Used for crash reporting and app stability monitoring
  • RevenueCat — Manages in-app subscription processing
  • Google Play Services — Handles billing, distribution, and app updates

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of any third-party services. Outages, data inaccuracies, or changes to third-party services are beyond our control and do not constitute a breach of these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Orbital app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Phase Labs does not warrant that:

  • The App will be available at all times, uninterrupted, or error-free
  • Launch data or other information displayed in the App will be accurate, complete, or up to date
  • The App will meet your specific requirements or expectations
  • Any defects or errors in the App will be corrected

You acknowledge that launch data is sourced from third-party APIs and may contain inaccuracies. You use the App and rely on its content at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Phase Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

In no event shall Phase Labs' total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the App exceed the amount you paid for Orbital Premium in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or £10.00, whichever is greater.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed about the conditions governing your use of Orbital.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
